ABOUT TERRY
Personality: Terry is an extremely smart and powerful dog. He would be a great companion for an experienced handler and would love a job to do. He can be fearful around strangers.
Favorite things: Terry loves being with his friends. He's an active boy who loves walks (and probably runs!).
Training: Terry knows basic commands and seems very keen on learning new things. He'd do very well with a trainer. He also works with one of the teenaged volunteers at the shelter and loves it!
Exercise: Terry is an active boy. In addition to leash walks, he would benefit from enrichment training, such as detection work.
Care status: neutered, vaccinated, microchipped
Special notes: Terry stopped by an adoption event. He was initially quite anxious but settled down and allowed strangers to pet him.
THE IDEAL HOME
Best match: Terry would do best with an experienced person or couple willing to work on his confidence-building. No little kids.
Other dogs? Terry is well-behaved in the shelter's playgroup and can be a bit anxious with other dogs.
Cats? unknown
Kids? Terry can be nervous and jumpy. Dog-savvy kids over 10 years old - or no kids - would be best for Terry. Terry ADORES a teenaged volunteer at the shelter and works well with her.
