In 2024, we helped more than 300 dogs leave Los Angeles shelters for homes of their own. Every adoption starts with compassion — and ends with a wagging tail. We’re proud to share how your support makes that possible.
Our financial snapshot.
From 2022 through 2024, Outta the Cage has continued to direct the majority of its resources straight to the dogs—covering veterinary care, transport, boarding and training, foster support, supplies, and partner-rescue assistance.
Program spending has remained consistently strong at more than 80%, demonstrating a clear mission focus and responsible financial stewardship. In the nonprofit world, program ratios above 75% are considered excellent—showing that most of every dollar directly supports rescue work.
Outta the Cage is entirely volunteer-run, with no paid staff, allowing more of every donation to go directly toward saving shelter dogs.
