Personality: selective around other dogs and prefers calm dogs
Favorite things: loves to chase the tennis ball and loves leash walks
Training: seems house trained, well-behaved on leash, doesn't seem to know commands
Exercise: would do fine with some play time in the backyard and a leash walk or two in the neighborhood
Care status: spayed, vaccinated, microchipped
Special notes: Valentina did okay in the shelter's play group but seems to prefer people over dogs. She can get defensive when other dogs show interest in her. She is a senior girl and has the usual lumps and bumps that older female dogs get. Her adopter should consult a veterinarian and have her checked out.

Best match: would do best in a home with kids over 8 years old or with a single adult or couple
Other dogs? would thrive as the only dog in the home, or with another calm dog her size or larger (careful intros recommended)

Kids? kids over 8 years old who can give Valentina space and some quiet time are best
Additional info: would do well in an apartment if someone works from home, or in a home with a backyard and some regular play time
