Yollot made a detour from the shelter!
Sweet senior Yollot’s story tugs at the heart—fitting, since her name means “heart” in Aztec. She lived with a homeless woman who, after finally finding housing, was heartbroken to learn dogs weren’t allowed. Out of love, she brought Yollot to the shelter, hoping for a better future.
But volunteer Autumn couldn’t let this gentle 13-year-old boxer mix face shelter life. Now, Yollot is safe for the moment—but she urgently needs a foster or adopter to give her a permanent home.
Yollot is quiet, gentle, and affectionate. She loves other dogs and, amazingly, adores cats—her former mom said she slept with the kitties every night. At just 38 pounds, she’s a petite girl who still moves like a much younger dog and is ready to bond with someone special, forever this time.
